I've come up with a theory about the tides in the seas; the tides are caused by the moving back and forth of the water as a point on the surface of the Earth sped up and slowed down due to the Earth's rotation on its axis and its revolution around the sun. So simple!
I can also use this theory to defend the Copernican theory. It directly proves that the Earth IS in motion!
Until next time,
Hey Gal, it's JKeps. The tides are caused by the moon, not the Earth's rotation around the sun. You're a bit on target when you talked about the Earth's axis, but you missed the most important part: the Earth's rotation on it's axis is due to an animating principle of universal attraction. It is the same principle that led me to conclude that the waters of the sea respond to the movement of the moon. Better luck next time.

ReplyDeleteSorry, I was too busy being RIGHT to hear your incoherent blabbering.
You couldn't hear me? There was no audio in that comment, Galileo. And I stand by my theory; just ask Isaac Newton, he expanded and perfected my theory on universal attraction.
